John Luther spent a couple of years as a community cat in a trailer park, getting to know people who would stop by to feed him. When feeding the cats there was suddenly banned, he headed to the office with his caretakers. At first, John Luther was quiet and a little reserved, but it didn’t take long for him to get comfortable. Now, he’s a well-known face who prefers perching on high surfaces and surveying his surroundings with that signature confident look. This black panther is a big, striking presence. He’s social once he settles but sticks to his own rhythm and likes lounging around the office. Head scratches and pets are always welcome, though he isn’t shy about wanting his way. He tends to have a bit of a boss streak with other cats, so he’d do best as the only cat in the household. John Luther gets along with children and adapts easily to new people, but needs to be the king of his castle.
