About Trapper
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Trapper, a handsome three-year-old German Shepherd who came to Coastal K9 German Shepherd Rescue in June of 2023. After spending his earlier life confined to a small kennel at a high-intake shelter, he needed time to adjust and learn how joyful life could be running free with people and dogs. At the ranch, Trapper has blossomed into a playful and eager companion, thriving on attention and mental stimulation. He takes great pride in learning commands, enjoying every opportunity to please his volunteer friends. Trapper recently made his own furry companions, including his best friend Phoebe, a young female shepherd. His ideal forever family would have experience with German Shepherds and offer the structure, activity, and patient guidance he loves—think fetch, obstacle runs, and command practice. He thrives with a routine, and while he currently prefers a female canine buddy, Trapper continues to grow and learn with socialization. If you're ready for an energetic and devoted partner, he can't wait to meet you and play fetch together! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
