About Helga

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Helga, a stunning 8-year-old, 75 lb German Shepherd/Malinois mix who embodies the classic traits of her breeds—she is protective, territorial, and deeply loyal. Helga is highly energetic and thrives on daily exercise and mental stimulation. Long walks, games of fetch, and tug-of-war are right up her alley. She is very food motivated, making training sessions fun and productive, and she truly looks forward to her special meals and treats. Helga is also known for her love of belly rubs and will happily ask for attention from those she trusts. This smart girl is fully potty trained and sleeps soundly through the night. Due to her dominant and protective personality, Helga must be the only dog in the home and should not live with small children. Ongoing socialization will be crucial for her wellbeing throughout her life. Adoption will require a refundable training deposit to ensure she receives the guidance she needs to blossom into the best canine citizen. Helga is available for local adoption only, and a home visit will be required to make sure it’s the perfect fit. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, and she currently lives in a loving foster home with Second Chance Dog Rescue. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Helga
