About Gilby
Start your journey together! Apply now. Gilby is a wonderful 2-year-old large mixed breed with Shepherd traits who originally came to the shelter as a puppy after being found abandoned. Nicknamed the "Hulkster" of his litter, he's a big love bug who just wants to be by your side. Gilby has been adopted twice before but returned through no fault of his own—once due to a family allergy, and once because the fit wasn't quite right. He thrives on friendly interactions and is known for his playful yet calm and steady nature. He is very obedient, walking well on a leash, following commands off leash, and reliably responding to sit, stay, down, stop, and out. Crate trained and fully housebroken, Gilby finds joy in chasing balls and other toys. While Gilby adores people, he will do best as the only pet, in a home with older children (16+). Gilby is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, kept up to date with flea and heartworm preventatives, and ready to settle into a loving forever family. They are waiting with paws crossed!
