About Nelly

Start your journey together! Apply now. Nelly is a very sweet senior girl who absolutely adores being by your side. Motivated by food and treats, she learns and trains quickly and is house trained. Nelly thrives whether she's in a crate or relaxing in an open gated room—though she'd probably love nothing more than to sleep right next to you. She is friendly with both dogs and cats given proper introductions, but would be just as happy being the only pet in the home. Nelly has spent time with her foster’s female dog, joyfully offering face licks and gentle ear cleaning, and could do well with a mellow canine companion (slow introductions are key!). She charms everyone she meets with her adorable Dorito-shaped ears and her sweetest smile. Nelly knows how to sit, enjoys new adventures, and adapts quickly to fresh surroundings. She loves car rides and settles into a low-key, easygoing routine once she feels at home. This lovable girl is spayed and, while hearing impaired, it doesn't slow her down one bit. Due to her age-related hearing loss and slightly cloudy eyes, she’d do best in a calm, quiet home, ideally with older or no children. Nelly enjoys gentle walks—though she will still pull in the direction she’s interested in—and loves staying close to her people, often sitting right on your feet. She has moments of playfulness, especially when there’s a squeaky ball involved, and will happily check countertops for snack opportunities. Nelly is an adorable lady who truly deserves a comfy retirement surrounded by love and companionship. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
