Fig – 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix Fig isn’t a “problem dog”… she’s a dog who was never taught how to exist in the world. She feels everything deeply and doesn’t yet know how to slow herself down. Because of poor early socialization, she struggles with impulse control and becomes easily overstimulated—but she is trying. Fig is dog selective and does best with large, neutral, tolerant male dogs. She is still learning how to communicate appropriately with other dogs. She can be unsure at first and needs time, space, and patience to build trust. Once she feels safe, her sweet and playful personality starts to shine. Ideal Home: * Very experienced owner or foster * No small children * No cats/small animals * Calm, structured environment Fig doesn’t need perfection—she needs someone willing to teach her what she was never shown.
