About Glizzy
Glizzy—also known as "GG"—is a loyal, affectionate medium-sized girl who charms everyone she meets. She loves snuggling on the couch, following scents during walks, and showing off just how clever she is, especially when treats are involved. Glizzy has learned "sit," "down," "leave it," and patiently waits for an "OK" before eating. She’s house trained, does well in a kennel, and prefers having a cozy place to nap nearby while you handle your day. People are Glizzy’s passion. She greets guests with warmth and likes being in on the activity, yet never gets overbearing. Her ideal day brings a short stroll, some play with squeaky toys, and quiet time curled up beside her person. Glizzy’s strong prey drive and reactivity to other animals mean she must be the only pet in the household. She isn’t suited for homes with small children, but older kids and adults will find her devoted and loving. Glizzy was born under the Gemini sun. She lives with a serious heart condition called severe subaortic stenosis, so her life expectancy is shorter than most—dogs with this issue rarely live past 3. She’s currently thriving with medication and excellent foster care, but her adopter has to be committed to maintaining her heart care and aware of her medical limitations. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
