About Mowgli
Mowgli is a big, striking nine-year-old American Shorthair with a bold orange and white coat, a round face, white chin, chest and feet, and a few brown freckles on his pink nose. His pale green eyes watch everything, always reading the room. At 13 1/2 pounds, heās a solid presence who knows what he wants, and heās sharpāboth clever and emotionally tuned in. Mowgli starts off cautious but, once he trusts you, heās all in: loyal, affectionate, and glued to your side. Heāll curl up on your lap or even take over your recliner if you let him. He bonds deeply with his person and likes to spend most of his time close by, including sleeping in bed together. Mowgliās favorite activities are interactive play, exploring the outdoors on leash (if you know what youāre doing), and scratching up a storm on a good post. A home with toys and a sturdy scratching area will keep him happy. Heās lived as an indoor cat after starting life outdoors, but he would thrive with a safe catio for some fresh air. Heās never lived with another cat but seems likely to want the alpha role; other cats might work with a proper intro. Dogs and small kids arenāt his thingāhe needs a quieter spot.
