About Erik

Erik is a friendly and affectionate 21-month-old tuxedo cat looking for a safe place to stay so he can start the next chapter of his life. Named after the Phantom of the Opera, Erik was left to fend for himself outdoors, making do with some backyard shelter alongside a feral cat. While the people feeding him won't bring him inside, they’re now talking about taking him to the ACC, where being FIV+ could lead to a sad end. Erik has already seen the vet: he’s neutered, vaccinated, and in good spirits despite his FIV+ status. This doesn’t slow him down or make him risky—he’s a mellow, gentle cat who can safely share space with non-FIV+ cats. Staff at the clinic were taken with how sweet he was. He just needs a foster home to acclimate to indoor life and get a real shot at love and stability. Erik also gets along with cats, dogs, and children, making him an easy fit for many homes.
