Turtle has special needs due to her significant mobility limitations but remains a loving and interactive companion. Her vaccinations are up to date.
About Turtle
Turtle arrived in foster care at six months old, noticeably small for her age and struggling with muscle contractures in all four limbs, which severely limit her mobility. She was found outdoors with her mother and brother, and by the time she came inside, most of her physical challenges weren’t likely to change. Turtle just turned one, and while her movement is restricted, she’s full of personality and seeks out attention with a gentle charm. Her independent streak is apparent—she likes to dictate the pace and way things are done. Turtle can move short distances on carpet, using her nails for traction, but isn’t able to navigate tile or slick floors. Belly rubs are a favorite, and she rolls around to invite them. She enjoys brushing sessions and purrs contentedly when given affection. Turtle keeps an eye on other cats, though most seem to accept her quietly and then move along. Her physical limitations mean play is tricky, but she doesn’t miss out on socializing entirely. Older children who can respect her boundaries and needs would be a good match. Turtle isn’t fond of water—sponge baths will have to do. She uses washable pee pads for elimination and isn’t incontinent, but isn’t house trained in the traditional sense. Give this resilient, sweet girl a soft spot to land and plenty of gentle company. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Turtle
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Turtle, as a Tabby, does not require any outdoor space and, given her mobility challenges, she should remain indoors for her safety. She will do best in a comfortable, accessible indoor area.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Tabby cats are often good with children, but Turtle’s special needs mean she would be best with older, gentle children who understand and respect her limitations.
