Chibs came to the rescue from a massive cat colony, and it shows in his cautious nature. When he first arrived with his siblings, he was terrified by all the new attention and unfamiliar routines. Over time, staff and volunteers have seen glimpses of the companion he’s becoming. While Chibs still tends to keep his distance with strangers, once you’re on his trusted list, he melts into affection and even enjoys being picked up for a cuddle. Nothing gets him purring like rubs around the ears. He’ll sometimes explore toys but too much activity can overwhelm him, so he prefers gentle engagement. Chibs gets along well with the other cats, but tends to keep to himself, often found in a cozy cat tree away from any commotion. Sudden noise or stress will send him seeking a safe spot to hide. He isn’t suited for homes with children right now but does appreciate feline company.
