About Bruce
Bruce has spent over a year at the shelter, making an impressive transformation from a timid dog with irritated skin to a vibrant, affectionate companion ready for his next adventure. Shelter staff invested their time and care into Bruce's recovery, helping his coat grow in healthy and teaching him to enjoy belly rubs and long walks. His eyes are brighter these days, full of hope and kindness rather than sadness. Bruce needs a special Hydrolyzed Protein diet due to his food allergies. The shelter figured out the right formula to keep him both comfortable and fluffy—well worth the upgrade. He thrives on affection and easily switches from lounging with his people to hiking new trails. Bruce’s Husky side comes through when he’s in the mood to sing, but he keeps the noise in check and mostly enjoys a good howl now and then. He fits best with households that have older, easygoing dogs (rowdy or very small dogs aren't for him), and kids over ten are his crowd. Squirrels still catch his attention, so a secure yard is helpful. Bruce is still learning housetraining, but he loves his leash walks and ignores troublemakers along the way. This is a dog with a lot of heart, resilience, and affection to give—now he just needs a home eager for all he brings. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
