Toasty is a cheerful and resilient Yorkie, estimated around four years old, weighing about 10 pounds. He thrives on the company of people and enjoys plenty of attention, pets, and treats. Potty training comes naturally to Toasty as long as he's led outside regularly. After a hit-and-run left him with a broken pelvis and hip surgery, he's bounced back remarkably, but jumping is no longer in his repertoire—he’ll need a helping hand to access beds or couches and isn't a fit for households that expect a leaper. Toasty is happiest when he has a backyard to wander in and appreciates short, leisurely walks; apartment life won't suit his style. Because of his previous surgery, homes with large dogs or small kids are off the table. He's currently undergoing slow kill heartworm treatment, and his new family will receive a year's supply of heartworm prevention.
