Zoey is a 6 year old pointer mix who was surrendered when her family could no longer care for her. She is gentle girl who is patiently waiting for another home. Zoey is shy at first and prefers to progress at her own pace. Once she is comfortable, she will solicit petting and is always attentive about her surroundings. Although she will wander around the yard, she loves to go on walks and her leash skills are excellent. Zoey is also dog and cat friendly although a slow introduction works best for her. Her owner said that she is fine on car rides and loved her family, settling wherever they were. At 40 pounds, Zoey is a perfect size for a family that is looking for an active dog but one that settles calmly. She would be best in a home with older children as well.
