About Prince
Start your journey together! Apply now. Prince is an approximately 6-year-old, 8-pound Yorkshire Terrier who is incredibly sweet and gentle. He may be a bit timid at first, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate nature shines through. Prince does wonderfully with other dogs and is especially bonded with his friend Tater Tot, a small Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix; the two are inseparable and must be adopted as a pair. Consistency is key for Prince as he’s still working on his potty skills, so he’ll need a dedicated adopter to keep guiding him. For Prince’s safety, his future home must not have big dogs, small children under 12, or an open swimming pool (unless it’s fully fenced), and doggie doors should be avoided due to his petite size. He is already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and has received a dental cleaning. If you’re looking for a loyal companion ready to blossom in a loving environment—and perhaps a double dose of small dog love with Tater Tot—Prince is waiting for you to provide his forever home. As a fun fact, since Prince was born on July 14, he’s a Cancer; Cancer pets are known for their gentle, loyal, and empathetic personalities! Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Prince
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Yorkshire Terriers usually do well in both apartment and house settings, as long as they have plenty of companionship and mental stimulation. They thrive in homes where they are included in daily activities and get regular attention.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Yorkshire Terriers do not require large yards, but they benefit from daily walks and some safe outdoor play. They adapt well to small outdoor spaces as long as they get enough exercise and stimulation indoors.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Yorkies can do well with respectful older children who understand how to interact with small dogs. Due to their petite size, supervision is recommended around younger children.
