About Gracie
Gracie is an obedience-trained, nearly 6-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix living in Plain City, OH. She completed a professional 3-week board and train program and knows several commands, including sit, place, leave it, and she responds to 'break' as a release. Gracie is a bit timid at first, but wins over quickly with treats and patience. She loves human company, physical affection, and curling up right next to her favorite people at the end of the day. Chasing backyard squirrels might be her favorite hobby, thanks to her high prey drive. Gracie does best as the only dog in the home since she tends to want to be the boss. She's been around children and does well with those who are gentle and let her approach on her own terms. Homes with cats aren't a fit due to her prey drive. She’s reliably loyal, eager to please, and quick to offer affection when she trusts you. Fun fact: Gracie was born under the sign of Scorpio—no wonder she’s so committed to her humans.
