Click the Adoption tab, review our process and requirements, then click on the dog's photo to access their bio and application. Meet Lane, currently thriving in the Paws-in-Prison program! Lane’s journey began with hardship, as he and his siblings were abandoned in the game lands. Sadly, three of his siblings didn’t survive, but Lane beat the odds. Now, he’s eager for a new start with a loving family. Snuggly, playful, and utterly devoted, Lane is happiest when he’s cuddling up close. He delights in romping around, yet his favorite moments are peaceful cuddle sessions where he can fully relax in your arms. While Lane was initially wary of quick movements—unsure of what to expect from human hands—he’s blossoming into a trusting, loving companion as he learns that gentle affection and safety are part of his new world. Lane’s unique heritage—Standard Poodle and American Pit Terrier, with a dash of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Cocker Spaniel—means he’s intelligent, affectionate, and tremendously loyal. He needs an adopter who understands puppy energy, teething, and the importance of training and socialization. Lane isn’t house trained or crate trained yet, but he’s a quick learner, ready for guidance in good manners and obedience. He requires daily exercise, fun playtime, and opportunities for mental enrichment. Because he’s had a difficult past, Lane is in search of a home committed to patience, routine, and helping him discover how wonderful a loving connection can be. All of Lane’s veterinary care—including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, and heartworm prevention—is completed as part of his adoption. As a foster-to-adopt dog, he will live with you while finishing any remaining care, and each adoption includes a six-week group obedience class to give him the best foundation possible. If you’re interested, you may apply in advance to reserve your spot for this wonderful companion—he’ll be available once his training concludes. Thank you for considering adoption and for standing by rescue dogs like Lane. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
