Weighing just 8.12 pounds, she's small in size but carries a big, tender heart that's still learning how to trust. Transferred in from another shelter in the nick of time, Madison has already experienced more uncertainty than any young dog should. She is very fearful and easily overwhelmed by new environments. Timid with people and places she doesn't yet know, she's considered a flight risk and will require a patient, gentle handler who can offer steady reassurance and a calm, predictable routine. Right now, Madison prefers observing the world from a safe corner, deciding at her own pace whether it's safe to step forward. But if you look closely into her eyes, you'll see it-an unmistakable longing for love. She wants to be brave, to connect, to trust. She just needs someone and perhaps another dog in the home willing to guide her slowly out of her shell, celebrating every small victory along the way.
