About Lulu
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Lulu is a sweet Chihuahua who was rescued from the Dallas Animal Shelter with her bonded companion Max, also a Chihuahua. Although they arrived at the rescue separately, Lulu and Max were joyfully reunited and are now seeking a home together. Lulu is very social and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap, while Max is on the shy side and would do best with someone who can offer patience and gentle encouragement. Both pups display typical Chihuahua tendencies—they love to sleep under the covers with their person and crave being close to their family. Thanks to the rescue’s care, both dogs are now fully vetted, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and have received dental care. Lulu is approximately 1 year old and weighs around 7 lbs. Max is about 2 years old and weighs about 8 lbs; he is currently receiving heartworm prevention after testing low positive. For the adopted family’s peace of mind and the dogs’ safety, potential homes with big dogs, small children, or unfenced swimming pools are not suitable. The rescue carefully matches each animal to the best home based on their needs, and all approved adopters must complete an application, vet check, home check, and final contract. Because Lulu was born on October 16, she is a Libra—a sign known for its affectionate and social nature. This fits her personality perfectly! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Lulu
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas are adaptable but generally thrive in quiet, loving homes where they can form close bonds with their owners. They are particularly well suited for apartments or houses, given their small size.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas do not require a large outdoor space. Daily walks and play sessions indoors or in a small yard are typically sufficient for their exercise needs.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can live with older, respectful children but may not be suitable for homes with very small or energetic children, as their small size makes them delicate.
