About Max
Max and Lulu are a bonded pair of small Chihuahuas looking for a calm, caring home together. Max is a sweet but reserved boy who prefers keeping a little distance, even when sharing your bed, while Lulu is famously affectionate and wants to stay by your side or curl up in your lap—she’s the definition of a Velcro dog. Both dogs need to be adopted as a pair. Max recently tested low positive for heartworms and is undergoing slow-kill treatment, requiring a bit of extra attention as he recovers. There are a few must-haves for their future home: no big dogs, no small children, and absolutely no accessible swimming pool unless it is fully enclosed with permanent fencing. No doggie doors, either, for safety due to their size. Both dogs are neutered/spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and have recently had dental care. Max and Lulu would thrive in a quieter environment with adults who understand Chihuahua personalities. Give these two the secure, patient home they deserve. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Max
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas like Max often do best in calm homes where they can feel safe and bond with their people. Apartments and houses both suit them, as long as the environment isn’t too chaotic.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Max doesn’t require a ton of outdoor space—just a secure area for bathroom breaks and short play sessions. Chihuahuas generally thrive indoors with supervised outdoor time.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Most Chihuahuas, including Max, do better in adult-only homes or those with older children, as their small size makes them easy to injure and they prefer a calmer atmosphere.
