About Minks
If you like cats with quirks, Minks will keep you guessing. She's got a personality all her own and she’ll let you know exactly how she likes things—starting with fresh faucet water, straight from the tap. She’s clever, resourceful, and will happily attempt to open a can of food if you forget to serve her on time. Life with Minks is full of surprises. At 9 years old, Minks has become something of a shelter legend. She originally arrived in 2018 and even briefly tried her paw at barn cat life, but it didn’t stick—she proved a little too effective at clearing the place of other cats. Now she enjoys her time in the shelter kitchen, enjoying pets, being held, and keeping staff entertained. Over the years, Minks has mellowed out. She’s social with humans, friendly, and waiting for someone who appreciates her independent spirit. She gets along with other cats but likes to run the show. The shelter is appointment-only—anyone interested in meeting Minks will need to fill out an application first. The staff are friendly and ready to answer questions about her. Ready to see what Minks is capable of? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
