Dog Day Out Review: "For the past two weekends, I've taken her out for some much needed decompression time, and let me tell you... I fell for this girl instantly. Starlight doesn't thrive in a kennel setting, and because of that, she doesn't always "show" her true self to potential adopters out of fear and the overwhelming environment she is in & because of this she is constantly over looked.but she is the most loving spunky dog once she warms up(she warmed up to me in 2seconds) She has sat in a kennel for 154 days now She can be dog-selective because she prefers to be Alpha but still does like companionship of submissive dogs. Star gets a little spooked by small kids & new people(honestly, same) but none of that takes away from how truly special she is. Starlight is a genuinely wonderful dog who loves affection she just needs someone willing to see past those notches and give her the patience and space to settle in & build her confidence. She would do best in an adoptive home with no children & no animals right now unless with submissive dogs or with a foster who can let her decompress and finally breathe.
