About Jimmy
Jimmy, often called Jimbo, is a two-year-old, friendly cat who turned up in a managed backyard colony in Brooklyn. He was clearly once someoneās indoor companionāalways approachable, social with people outside, and eager to make himself at home. At first, his rescuer planned to neuter and return him, but after he arrived with several injuries, they brought him inside for care. He recovered quickly and has adapted well to indoor life, showing affection to everyone around, including the vet. Jimmy currently lives with two older cats. Heās playful and enjoys trying to engage them, though they donāt reciprocate his enthusiasm. Heās easy-going about other cats and would do well with a companion or as a solo pet. Toys capture his attention; wand toys, springs, and scratching posts keep him busy. He craves human attentionāheāll wait by the shower for petting, nap in the tub, and frequently rests on people as they lie on the couch. Jimmy isnāt keen on being held for long, but heās loving in his own way. Loud noises can spook him, especially in hallways, but otherwise heās remarkably well-behaved. Jimmy never misses the litterbox and is meticulous about cleanliness. While heās not the cuddliest, heās endlessly sweet and integrates well into a routine. Heās looking for a calm home where he can watch birds, nap in odd places, and enjoy gentle company. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
