Tony the Tiger is a bold and lively cat, always looking for a new adventure or a spot to climb. He’s quick to claim his space, always eager to tussle with toys (or his people) and sometimes gets a little rough when he’s under-stimulated. Tony’s playful instincts run strong, and he benefits greatly from clear boundaries, lots of interactive play, and a companion that can keep up with his energy—otherwise, he’s quick to redirect that energy to his humans. If not guided, his single kitten upbringing becomes obvious, since he sometimes forgets to play gently. Enter Elroy, Tony’s young and slightly awkward partner in crime. Elroy starts off shy, watching from the background until he feels safe, then blossoms into a head-butting, purring ball of affection. He’s not the sharpest in the bunch—he gets himself stuck, rescued, and almost immediately stuck again—which is probably for the best, since Tony more than makes up for any shortage in street smarts. The two balance each other perfectly. Tony is about three and a half years old, and Elroy is eight months old. For these boys, an experienced adopter is a must—someone patient, cat-savvy, and clear with rules, without young children in the home.
