Rain is a gorgeous Pyrenees mix between 1 and 3 years old, with soulful eyes and an initially shy spirit. Once she settles in and trusts you, she turns into a sweet and affectionate companion, eager for pets and attention. She weighs around 80 lbs and could use a few extra pounds to reach her healthiest self. Rain arrived in Colorado underweight and unsocialized with her sister, but in foster care she's learned to love playtime, food, and the comfort of her kennel. She prefers the company of other dogs and would do well in a home with a confident canine companion, though a patient and loving adopter with time to invest would also be a great match. She sleeps peacefully in her kennel, learns quickly through food motivation, and is working on key life skills like socialization, house training, and confidence around people. Leash walking still makes her nervous, so she'll need a securely fenced yard and continued patience from her new family. Rain has shown she gets along well with other dogs and would likely live peacefully with cats, given the right introduction. Older, calm children may also be a good fit. Her foster works with shy dogs and offers a discounted training session for adopters to help build their new dog's confidence and ease the transition into home life—this is a requirement for adoption.
