About Bonnie

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Bonnie is a five-year-old small Terrier mix who must stay with her beloved, blind brother Gizmo; they are a bonded pair and cannot be separated. Bonnie delights in exploring both yard and home, always keeping one eye out for Gizmo to ensure his well-being. While she has an independent streak and loves a good run in the yard, she's equally happy curling up in your arms for some affection. Be prepared to guard your snacks—Bonnie has been known to slyly compete for burritos, Cheerios, or ice cream! Bonnie pays close attention whenever you help Gizmo, and if he gets lost, ask her to "go get Gizmo, Bonnie" and she’ll spring into action to find him. She enjoys friendly, easygoing playmates but prefers to pick her play pals herself. At night, she and Gizmo need a large, enclosed crate to ensure Gizmo’s safety and Bonnie's comfort—no doggy doors or stairs, as Gizmo could get hurt. Bonnie has allergies that are well-managed with a medicated bath every other week and her prescribed allergy medication. She just had a full dental cleaning and, although she’s a bit timid, she quickly learns to trust with a gentle approach. Bonnie and Gizmo can be met together in Aurora. Fun fact: With a birthday of April 5, Bonnie is an Aries—no wonder she’s so adventurous and protective! Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
