Hello, my name is Huckleberry Hound, the best boy around. But my friends call me Huckle, and I'm more than willing to count you as one of my pals. I arrived back in 2022 from a rescue in Tennessee, and I'm still on a search for my furever home. I came in very skinny and uncertain of the world, but I've grown into the happiest boy ever! Despite that, I've been overlooked, I've been given false hope, and I've been left behind, but I still haven't given up. I don't know how I always end up passed over, cause I have a very striking coat of beautiful freckles. I'm always excited to meet new people and I love to make friends! I'll come up to the window to say hello, and I know I look a little bit bouncy, but that's just because I'm trying to get a good look at my potential future family. The best family for me would be a home where I can shine the brightest without other pets, since no one ever taught me to share my toys with other dogs when I was growing up. But you know what I have been taught? How to keep clean indoors! I am also learning how to walk on a leash, and I'm doing pretty good so far with well-timed nudges in the right direction. I love to go on walks and greet new people to give me lots of pets! And maybe some treats too! I've met teenagers as young as fifteen and I was great with them, but I haven't met anyone younger than that. I prefer bigger playmates anyway, since I can get excited about playtime! I'm always hoping the next person I meet will be the one to fall in love with me!
