Lucky is a young Shepherd/Hound mix in Culpeper, VA with a blend of black and white smooth fur. He’s outgoing—will treat everyone as a possible new best friend—and absolutely adores riding in anything with an engine. In his foster home, Lucky gets along with other dogs. He is patient with pushy canine housemates and easily moves on after spats. His size and high energy make him a bit much for young children, and while his foster has been working on curbing his enthusiastic greeting style, Lucky still sometimes tries for a full-on hug. Lucky is crate trained, knows basic commands, and will keep practicing his leash manners. He gets excited when it looks like a car ride is coming up (and will clown his way onto anything with wheels). He is not trustworthy around small animals or cats—he tends to overwhelm them—but he’s shown no interest in livestock like sheep or goats.
