About Lucky
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Lucky, a lively and affectionate Shepherd/Hound mix ready to brighten your days! Lucky is a neutered male with a smooth, short black and white coat who bursts with energy and enthusiasm. He is the ultimate social butterfly, greeting every new person as if they might be his new best friend, and he gets along well with other dogs—showing gentleness even in play. While his enthusiasm is a bit much for young children, his foster mom has been helping him learn to greet politely, though some habits from his past persist, like those eager "hugs." Lucky has a particular fondness for vehicles of all kinds and will joyfully ride in cars, trucks, or anything with wheels and an engine—he even loves trips to the store where he can hop in carts! Around the home, he is crate trained, knows basic obedience commands, and is actively practicing his leash manners. While he isn't the best fit for homes with small animals or cats due to his boisterous energy, he ignores larger livestock and settles quickly after excitement passes. Because Lucky’s birthday is August 7th, he is a proud Leo—these dogs are often bold, friendly, and love being the center of attention! To meet Lucky, approved applicants must visit him at his foster location, and every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
