Noodles is a buff and white domestic short hair cat in Palm Coast, FL. As an adult, neutered male with a short coat, he has a laid-back nature and is house trained. He’s up to date on vaccinations, gets along with other cats, but needs a home without young children. Because of his medical history, Noodles has some special needs and will need regular attention to his ears and eyes to keep him comfortable.

About Noodles....

Noodles spent his early days hiding under a car at a condo parking lot, desperate for companionship and even standing outside windows to meow at cats inside. Now about 3 years old, Noodles has settled into a more peaceful life and gets along well with other cats. He’s easy to pick up and enjoys sitting on laps, staying mellow most of the time. He does have boundaries—if he’s tucked away in his hiding cube, he doesn’t want to be reached for, and isn’t shy about swatting to let you know when he wants space. Noodles needs ongoing care for his ears (a weekly quick cleaning and monitoring for infection), and will always have a slightly teary eye due to a blocked tear duct and an eye virus. He’s also recovering from major ear surgery that left him with a subtle, permanent head tilt. These small quirks make him stand out and aren’t holding him back now that he’s stable. He’s already been through the worst—homelessness, medical recovery—and just needs someone to commit to the gentle upkeep his special needs require. Cats like him don’t come around often; he’s earned his second chance. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Noodles....

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Noodles and most domestic short hair cats don't require outdoor access; they thrive indoors with cozy spaces and toys. A window perch for watching the world is usually enough to keep them entertained.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Domestic short hairs can do well with children who respect their boundaries. Noodles, though, needs a calmer home without young children, since he values his safe spaces and doesn’t like being surprised when he's tucked away.
