Meet this beautiful dilute tortoiseshell mama, born January 23, 2022, whose soft pastel swirls of gray and cream perfectly match her gentle spirit. She was surrendered to St. Johns County Animal Shelter with her six babies, weighing only five pounds and battling a severe respiratory infection. Though her kittens were thankfully old enough to be eating on their own, this devoted mom was far too weak to continue caring for them. She could barely keep up her own strength, let alone nurse and protect her little ones. Despite everything she endured, she has proven to be one of the gentlest mama cats we have ever known. In her foster home, she blossomed. She loved visiting with her adult human friends and quickly bonded with the resident cats, instantly winning them over with her calm, affectionate nature. She happily snuggled alongside the bigger cats as if she had always belonged there. The cafe environment can feel a little overwhelming at times after all she's been through, but Alessandra's sweet disposition shines through. She gets along beautifully with the other cats and is slowly but surely beginning to greet customers and explore her new life with quiet confidence. Now healthy and gaining strength, this loving girl is ready for a forever home where she can finally be the one cared for and cherished.
