About Luna
Luna is a four-year-old Pitsky (Pit Bull Terrier and Husky mix) who brings both brains and heart. Nearly 50 lbs, she’s a compact bundle of energy and affection, ready for someone who’ll keep up with her curious spirit. Luna has completed an 8-week positive reinforcement board-and-train and continues to impress her trainer with new skills—she’s sharp, treat-motivated, and loves learning. House and crate trained, she knows her basics like sit, down, and shake. She shines on long walks and even more so hiking or playing in a yard. If you like keeping active and want a partner for outdoor adventures, Luna’s ready. In the car, she’ll need to be crated or buckled since her excitement for trips can get a little extra. Luna thrives as the only pet and has a big heart for people, especially in homes with children. She needs an experienced, active adopter who’s home often. She shouldn’t live with cats, small dogs, or farm animals. A fenced yard would be a bonus, not a must. Her adoption is limited to families within an hour of Cary, NC, to meet local rescue requirements and ensure all her care needs are met. Luna came from a rough start as a stray but has come a long way and just needs the right partner to keep blooming. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
