About Snickers

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Snickers is a large, affectionate Coonhound lady who is 7 years old. With her beautiful tricolor coat of brown, black, and white, sheโ€™s hard to miss! Snickers is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for her new forever home. She does well with other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for homes with existing dogs; if you already have a pup, be sure to bring them for a fun 'meet and greet.' While Snickers has not spent time around cats, she plays a bit too rough for homes with young children, so an adult-only home is best. Snickers awaits her new family at the Berkeley County Humane Society, and sheโ€™d love to meet you during visiting hours. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Snickers

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Coonhounds are best suited for homes with plenty of space to roam, ideally a house with a yard. They thrive in environments where they can explore outdoors frequently and benefit from regular activity.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Coonhounds are active dogs that require ample outdoor space. A securely fenced yard is highly recommended to allow them the freedom to run and sniff safely.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Coonhounds can do well with older, respectful children, but their playful and sometimes rowdy nature can be too much for very young kids. Supervision is always important.
