About Roo Onslow
Click apply to start the adoption process. Are you searching for a beautiful, mature redhead to bring joy into your life? Roo is an adorable 7-year-old redbone-foxhound mix who will win your heart. She’s initially shy and loves finding the quietest corners in the house, but when playtime arrives with her puppy foster sister, spotting an interesting scent outside, or the promise of food is near, she perks right up. As Roo gains your trust, she shows her cuddly side, and her playful personality emerges—particularly with a confident canine friend to guide her. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and can often be found snuggling up to her puppy foster sibling. When overwhelmed or needing rest, Roo prefers her crate or a peaceful corner, but she never turns down an invitation to cuddle in bed with her foster family. Roo is perfectly housetrained thanks to a doggy door and patiently waits for her meals. Though Roo is heartworm positive and on a special diet for kidney disease, her resilience shines through. She’s learning to relish her safe, loving environment, enjoy a cozy bed, and discover the joys of toys and companionship. Once you meet Roo, you’ll find her impossible not to love. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
