About Winston
Winston is one of the shelter’s hidden gems—a big, lovable goofball who’s spent far too long waiting for his chance. At nearly four years old, this Bull Terrier/German Shepherd mix has bundled up a ton of experience as an all-around family companion. He’s neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative, and up-to-date across the board. House trained and kennel trained, Winston is always ready to please, especially if treats are involved. He has a true gift for making friends—Winston has spent time with everyone from infants to seniors and is gentle and affectionate with all. He’s even visited geriatric patients and didn’t skip a beat. That said, due to his size and energy, homes with very small children aren’t the best fit, simply because he’s big enough to knock someone over accidentally. He hasn’t had the chance to meet cats but has done well with other animals, including horses, mini pigs, and chickens. Winston’s energy is unmistakable—he’d make a fantastic partner for anyone who loves hiking, jogging, or adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggling on the couch for a movie. If you’re looking for a loyal, protective friend who’ll stick by you through thick and thin, Winston is ready and waiting in Leesville, LA. Every Capricorn’s known for loyalty, and Winston’s birthday makes him no exception. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
