Sydney is a petite lady that came from a hoarding situation pregnant with 3 other pregnant dogs from the same pack. She and her pack mates were all deprived of good experiences from humans and were left to their own devices to survive outside in a back yard. She started out with all her family in a quieter boarding area to adjust to being indoors and has been in the main boarding facility for quite some time learning how to dog. She wears a leash at all times and does a pretty good job of following whomever has the leash in hand. She started out always walking behind, but likes to explore while taking a walk and has gotten accustomed to leading her walker. She goes to doggy daycare and is learning the manners of a healthy stable pack. Her kennel is her safe place and she can be a bit guardy of it, but she comes right out once the door is open and she is given a little space. Sydney is in need of a calm and patient foster or adopter with another dog in the home who will be grateful for the journey of watching Sydney learn how to be a beloved pet. She has a long way to come, but to be the one who gets to help her feel secure and to teach her what stability and love look like will be priceless!
