About Sammy
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Sammy is a special, shy girl who is looking for a patient adopter to help her continue her journey of learning to trust humans. She is bonded with Rosie and needs a home that can offer plenty of love, guidance, and gentle encouragement to show her the world is not as scary as it seems. While initially fearful, Sammy has blossomed in foster care, moving from a timid dog hiding in corners to a pup who greets her caregivers with excited spins each morning. She absolutely melts when being brushed and is full of curiosity, loving to explore and watch squirrels. Sammy has never shown aggression toward people; instead, she prefers to keep her distance until she feels comfortable. She needs a fully fenced backyard, as she is still uneasy on a leash, and would thrive in a single-animal home without cats. Sammy’s experience means she’ll need time, patience, and consistency from someone who won’t expect her to be ready for neighborhood walks right away. Placement requires an in-person meet and greet at her foster home so she can get to know potential adopters in a familiar environment. You won’t see Sammy at adoption events—her future family will need to make a special visit to meet her. She is currently in the care of a dedicated foster family, growing more confident each day. If you’re ready to offer Sammy the gentle hand she needs, reach out and see if you’re the family she’s been waiting for. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
