About Mika
Say hello to Mika, a four-and-a-half-year-old domestic short hair who’s been in care since April 2023. She raised a litter of four kittens, all adopted long ago, but now it’s her turn. Mika is sweet but shares affection on her own terms—she doesn’t like being held and gets overstimulated easily. She thrives as a low-maintenance, independent companion and is a good fit for someone who travels or spends time away from home. After her solo time, Mika will often curl up on your lap when you return, provided she’s in the mood. She’s a little goofy, cocks her head at conversation, plays with toys, and can be found seeking out boxes or sunny patches to roll in, almost puppy-like in spirit. Mika needs a cat-savvy person who understands feline body language and honors her space. She’s currently at Angel of Hope shelter in Anoka, MN, and a meet and greet can be arranged after applying. Being an Aries, Mika has that independent streak—she knows what she likes and sticks to it. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
