About Maverick
Maverick is a striking young Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix with apricot beige fur and a hopeful spirit. Recently rescued from a grim, isolated outdoor enclosure, Maverick now lives with a dedicated volunteer. It’s still outdoors, but he finally has room to run, people to love him, and daily walks—not to mention a second chance. Maverick soaks up affection and looks for a purpose. He wants leadership, clear direction, and a sense of belonging. Leash walks are a breeze with Maverick, and he picks up new cues fast—always eager to please. He’s looking for someone who’ll nurture his growth and help him become the companion he’s meant to be. Maverick is looking for a permanent or foster home ready to invest in him. He does well with other dogs but isn’t a fit for homes with small children. Older teens are likely okay. He needs meet and greets before adoption or fostering, both for people and dog friends. Maverick is ready for a fresh start with someone who’ll show him the world doesn’t have to be lonely. Make his next chapter a happy one. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
