About Joey
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Joey has been on the lookout for his forever home for an incredible three years and truly deserves a loving family to call his own! After spending nearly two years in a wonderful foster home, this affectionate guy is still patiently waiting for a place he can finally settle in. While Joey may be shy at first, once he gets comfortable, he blossoms into a loving, cuddly companion who adores being close to his people. He’s always up for adventure—whether it’s hiking, exploring new places on walks, or joining you on a car ride, Joey’s enthusiasm is contagious. If toys or water are involved, you can count on Joey’s playful spirit to shine, and after a day of activity, he’s happiest snuggled up with you on the couch. Joey is exceptionally smart and knows commands like sit, shake, down, and stay. He responds well to corrections and walks beautifully on leash, making him an ideal walking buddy. He’s house, crate, and potty trained, showing true independence when left home alone. Devoted and loyal, Joey forms deep bonds with his people and is ready to give his heart to someone willing to give him a chance. With proper introductions, he’s friendly with other dogs—especially those who match his energetic play style—and he’s unfazed by animals like horses and donkeys. Joey might need some time to decompress and build trust, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll be the most dedicated and loving friend you could hope for. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
