About Rocky
Rocky arrived on Easter Sunday, after being picked up as a stray when no animal control services could be reached. When he landed at Animal Assistance League of Orange County, his health needed urgent attention: severe cherry eye, swelling on his paw, and issues common to English Bulldogs. Thanks to responsive vet care, Rocky has had multiple surgeries—his cherry eye repaired, his airway modified to ease his breathing, and his back paw treated for a low-grade tumor, which is now fully gone. He's now neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and recovering well. Rocky is a 4-year-old English Bulldog with a short brown coat who's equal parts cuddler and goofball. He loves belly rubs and gentle playtime, but he absolutely needs an experienced Bulldog adopter who understands brachycephalic breeds. His ideal home is adult-only—he does not get along with children, cats, or other dogs, so he's happiest as a solo pet. He's fully house trained and will soon start professional training to refine his manners. For his safety, Rocky must always use a harness, never a collar, to prevent breathing complications. His adoption is limited to Orange County and nearby areas. Rocky was born May 21, making him a Gemini—which might explain why he’s sociable and a bit curious, despite his attitude toward other animals.
