Pebbles is a large, adult female Hound with a beautiful brindle short coat now that her health is on track. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. Pebbles requires lifelong thyroid medication and will need a quiet, supportive home in Youngstown, OH as she finishes her heartworm treatment. She enjoys the company of other dogs and shines brightest when she’s active and loved.

About Pebbles

Pebbles is one of those dogs you can’t help but root for. When she first arrived, she barely had any hair and her spirit was low—hypothyroidism had taken a toll on her body and energy. With some medication, patience, and the right thyroid dose, she transformed. That brindle coat came in rich and glossy, and her true personality emerged. Pebbles lights up around people and enjoys being outside, playing with toys, and coaxing her fellow dogs to join in on the fun. She will need to stay on her thyroid medication. Pebbles is also heartworm positive, so a calm home is important while she receives her treatment; her adoption fee covers the cost. She really comes alive outdoors and would do best where she can feel secure and supported during her recovery. She already gets along well with other dogs and shows nothing but friendliness.
