About Hank
Hank is a small, resilient dog with quite a story behind him. He started life on the streets in Korea before making his way into the local shelter system and finally ending up here in Pittsburgh, PA as a transfer when space ran out. He arrived a bit unsure but has warmed up with staff and volunteers, building trust and enjoying new friendships. Hank is adjusting to all things home life, including leash manners, house training, and getting comfortable with toys. He prefers a calm environment—he’d rather be the only pet and would do best with kids 13 and up. Right now, he’s living as part of the SCI Fayette Training Program, working on social skills, structure, and good habits with positive reinforcement. This is helping him get ready for daily routines with a family. Hank is also enrolled in the Rosie's Rule safety initiative; he’ll go home with a GPS-enabled Fi collar and a six-month app subscription, giving adopters a bit of extra peace of mind. He comes neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. Hank was born on May 10th, so he's a Taurus—a sign known for quiet loyalty and a need for stable routines. Every animal here deserves a fresh start. Hank is waiting for his. Click apply to start the adoption process.
