About Lucy
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Meet Lucy, an affectionate and well-mannered large mixed-breed dog, thought to be a blend of blue heeler and Australian shepherd. Lucy, along with her sister Roxie, was rescued from a difficult start after being abandoned in a rural area and has blossomed into a wonderful companion. Lucy loves lounging on the back porch, quietly napping until family returns or there's action in the neighborhood. She and her sister both enjoy attention—thriving whether together or on their own—and are excellent with children, always ready to greet visitors with a warm welcome after a brief, friendly bark. Their home training at the Little Rock Dog Club has made them smart, attentive to commands, and respectful of home spaces; they're house trained, refrain from chewing on belongings, and sleep peacefully on their dog beds. Lucy is in great health, spayed, up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and lepto vaccines, negative for heartworms, and fully protected against fleas and ticks. Although it is preferred for the sisters to be adopted together, Lucy will also happily thrive as a solo companion, provided she receives the attention and care she deserves. A fenced yard is required for her next home to ensure her safety and happiness. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
