About Lucy
Lucy, one half of a bonded sister pair, is a large, short-haired mix of blue heeler and Australian shepherd who was rescued as a pup in rural Arkansas. She shares a close bond with her sister Roxie, though she feels equally content relaxing on her own. Lucy’s a laid-back spirit—she prefers napping on the back porch and waiting for the sounds of family to stir her out of sleep. She’s been raised around young children and gets along well with them. While she’ll bark to alert you of unfamiliar faces, she warms up quickly and enjoys the attention. Smart and eager to please, Lucy knows both verbal and hand commands. She’s house trained and not destructive when inside, especially with chew toys around, and she’s never shown an interest in climbing furniture. Lucy and Roxie have been well-cared for, including up-to-date vaccinations, wellness checks, microchips, and preventative care. Both are happy together or individually, but would benefit from a home where they get the attention and exercise they deserve. A fenced yard is a must for Lucy’s safety and happiness. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
