About Princess
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Princess has overcome so much and is now ready for the loving home she deserves! After losing her elderly owners, Princess suddenly found herself alone and scared in a crowded shelter. Her heartbreak was obvious as she waited for someone familiar to return. Sadly, after a mass was discovered on her back leg and blood appeared in her urine, her chances at that shelter looked bleak, as the reality for many dogs in similar situations is often grim. Thanks to the kindness of a foster family, Princess received a second chance. She was treated for a severe urinary tract infection and underwent surgery to remove the mass, though the recovery was challenging and required several trips to the vet. Even with a diagnosis of mast cell cancer, which means further tumors may develop, Princess continues to thrive with loving care and a daily dose of Benedryl to help manage her condition. While her future is uncertain, she still has the potential to enjoy several happy years with a patient and understanding family. Despite her hardships, Princess remains sweet and seeks comfort from her crate. She gets along beautifully with her foster home's dogs and has lots of gentle affection to offer. Weighing around 30 pounds and around 7-8 years old, she’s eager for a family who will appreciate her loving spirit. Her adoption fee is reduced to just $100, especially for senior and special needs dogs like her. Let’s find Princess the forever family who will see what a treasure she is!
