About Rocket
Meet Rocket, a striking Alaskan Malamute in his prime, holding court in Grayling, MI. At nearly 6.5 years old, Rocket knows who he is—handsome, whip-smart, happily independent, and not to be mistaken for a husky. He weighs about 90 lbs, is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and clear on his heartworm tests. This big, beautiful boy prefers to keep it simple: no children, no cats, and no other dogs. He thrives with humans who understand the quirks of large northern breeds and know their way around a de-shedding brush. Grooming is non-negotiable for Rocket; plan on plenty of routine spa days. Rocket isn’t clingy—he’s content lounging on the porch, taking strolls, and earning treats for good behavior. He’s house-trained, quiet, and works for snacks. Social adoration isn’t his thing. What he wants is a peaceful, low-activity home where he can chill out, enjoy his golden years, and be appreciated for his calm loyalty rather than constant affection. If your household values a little distance and a lot of dignity, Rocket might just be your perfect match. He is available to meet Tuesday through Saturday, 10am–6pm.
