About Lucas
Meet Lucas, the big goofball in search of a loving home! He was adopted but returned because his separation anxiety was more than his family anticipated. They believed that a home with more than one adult would provide the environment he needs. Lucas did well with the kids in his previous home, but his jumpiness proved challenging for his former family. With the right support and understanding, he will thrive and become a cherished part of your family. At just 2 years old, Lucas radiates playful energy and is incredibly sweet and cuddlyβa perfect blend! He recently met a smaller spayed female and showed his gentle nature by sitting at her feet and allowing her to sniff him. Lucas is ready for meet-and-greets with other dogs and children, so you'll want to see how he fits in with your family dynamic. While we can't provide details on how he interacts with cats, we suggest doing extra introductions to ensure a smooth transition. Before adopting, consider if you can promise him a forever home. The 3 3 3 Rule for shelter pets applies: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle in, and 3 months to build trust. Come visit Lucas in person to see if heβs the one for you! Lucas's adoption fee is $80, and he's already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Plus, he knows how to sit! Bring along a collar and leash or purchase a combo for $15 to safely take him home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
