About Blackie
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Blackie! Estimated to have been born around December 2021, Blackie is the brother of Tango and Tabby. After their owner passed away, the three siblings found themselves in search of a new home. Unlike his more outgoing siblings, Blackie is notably less social and will need a patient home that understands his boundaries and gives him the time he needs to adjust. Over time, Blackie has warmed up to gentle affection, but it has taken months of calm persistence. He would thrive in a calm environment with someone willing to patiently earn his trust—he can be a bit of an “angry” kitty, but those who let him set the pace will find a rewarding companion. Blackie's brother tested positive for FeLV while his sister tested negative, so it is recommended he be tested, particularly if he'll share his home with other cats. Currently, he is working on socializing and has started to accept gentle petting and treats. Fun fact: Born on December 10, Blackie is a Sagittarius—known for their independence and strong-willed personalities! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
