About Blackie
Meet Blackie, born in December 2021, and one of three siblings who lost their home after their owner passed away. Compared to his brother Tango and sister Tabby, Blackie keeps more to himself. He has shown some progress accepting gentle affection but usually prefers to set the pace for interaction. Weeks of patient effort have shown he can start to enjoy petting and treats, but any adopter should understand he wonāt be a lap cat overnight. A calm home with an understanding of shy cats would be best for him, and heāll need plenty of time and respect for his boundaries. Since his brother tested positive for FeLV (and his sister negative), Blackie needs to be tested, especially if joining other cats. Having a quiet, patient environment is key for Blackie to gain confidence. For those with the patience to let Blackie blossom at his own speed, heāll reward you in his own quiet ways. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
