About Augustus
Gus, or Augustus if you want to be formal, is a Bull Terrier brimming with personality. Born in Colorado and now thoroughly at home in the desert, he tackles the heat – and life’s challenges – with good-natured spirit. Deafness hasn’t slowed him down; Gus picks up sign language cues with impressive speed and already knows how to sit on command. He lives for scent work, treats, and games of fetch, quickly figuring out new toys and puzzles with sharp curiosity. Between outdoor play and his crate, Gus finds his groove—giving equal time to lively bursts of energy and calm downtime. Outings are his jam: he’s a trusty co-pilot for car rides and always ready to tag along to the park or a quick errand. Gus does live with some medical challenges—chronic ear infections and allergies mean a routine of medication and the occasional ear cleaning, which isn’t his favorite but he tolerates. Because of his quirks and strong personality, he’d do best as the only pet, soaking up all the attention himself. He’s a great fit for adopters who enjoy an affectionate, food-motivated pup who’s always up for an adventure. Get ready to give Gus a loving, active home and you’ll get a loyal, fun companion in return. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
