About Chiquita
Chiquita spent over a decade surviving outdoors, cared for by a devoted feeder who looked out for her safety and well-being. After years of roughing it in a shed at a YMCA, she suddenly lost her shelter when it was scheduled for demolition. Now, for the first time in many years, Chiquita is learning the routine of life indoors with her longtime caretaker fostering her. Understandably, she is skittish and cautiousātrust doesnāt come quickly to a cat who has been on her own for so long. What she needs is someone patient and calm, willing to let her adjust at her own pace, without expectations to cuddle or socialize on day one. Chiquita prefers to be the only pet in the home, as she does not get along with other cats or dogs. She was born November 1, 2014, which makes her a Scorpioāa true survivor and remarkably resilient. With time, her independent spirit could blossom into a deeply loyal companionship. Sheās looking for a quiet, understanding adopter who can give her a safe landing after years of uncertainty. Letās make her retirement years her happiest yet. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
