About Dewey
Dewey is a 9-month-old bundle of curiosity and puppy charm, sitting at about 43 pounds. He’s working hard to adjust to a world filled with hair dryers and printers—his bark is his way of alerting the household to anything suspicious, but with training, he’s settling in and growing braver by the day. Dewey does well meeting new people and handles outings to places like Home Depot like a pro, even with little kids around. He’s crate trained, house trained, and happily sleeps through the night. Dewey knows basic cues like sit, down, wait, and touch, and he’s been making big strides learning scent work, too. You’ll mostly find him quiet, except for a well-placed bark if someone’s at the door. Dewey is playful and loves snow, tunneling through it like an otter. While he’s friendly, he needs slow introductions with other dogs and does best with calm companions or on his own. He’s leash reactive at the vet with dogs, but kind with staff, and he must be crated when left alone to avoid mischief. Dewey adores children but will try to eat their toys, so supervision there is key. A medium fenced yard in a quieter setting will help Dewey play and feel secure. He thrives with owners dedicated to continued training and can become your best friend once settled. Click apply to start the adoption process.
